Methodology of case study analysis based on IRC article

Information scientists have used an article by IRC's Dick de Jong, Cor Dietvorst, Jaap Pels and Viktor Markowski on water portals in an analysis of the limits of web-based empowerment of the voiceless. In fact the methodology of the analysis was based on a statement in the IRC article: "The decision to use a search engine as a tool, and selecting only the top sites, replicates how most users of the Internet find relevant sites for their interests" (de Jong, et al., 2003).
Monitoring the MDGs: a popular publication

"Monitoring Millennium Development Goals for Water and Sanitation: a review of experiences and challenges" published by IRC together with the German Development Bank (KfW) has been translated into French and Spanish.
CREPA took care of the French translation and they have received compliments from five international NGOs and donors and SNV want to collaborate on the topic. In relation to this CREPA has also sent a proposal to the EU Water Facility.
The Spanish language edition was produced through the World Bank supported Water and Sanitation Program.

IRC publication "Making the Links" translated in Urdu

"Making the links" IRC's most practical publication on hygiene education published in 1984 has been translated in Urdu and is being used by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) in Baltistan, Northern Pakistan.
IRC work featured in an important OECD paper

IRC work on sanitation and hygiene featured a number of times in an important OECD paper that was used in the Roundtable on Sustainable Development in March 2004 "Closing the Sanitation Gap – the Case for Better Public Funding of Sanitation and Hygiene". This was part of the preparation for CSD12, and financed by the Millennium Project Task Force on Water and Sanitation.
