IRC listed as source for WASH in emergencies
The publication Global Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Cluster Knowledge Management Strategy provides tools and resources for organisations in the cluster who are involved in humanitarian crisis response and water, sanitation and hygiene programmes worldwide. IRC’s Sanitation Updates, the web site and Source newsletter are mentioned as some of the most relevant current online sources of knowledge. The full document is available as PDF.

Six out of ten site web visits for our information products
Information products attracted nearly close to 60 percent of the 686,000 visits to our site in the first half of 2009. One third of the total number of visits concerned Source articles in various languages. Publications came second with 7.8 percent of visits to our site, Themes third and About IRC fourth.
Our most popular news blog Sanitation Updates scored with 49,801 page views nearly as high as our total number of page views on the IRC theme web pages.

Good example of storytelling on IRC website
During a communications training in New York, attended by IRC staff, one of the presenters, Andy Goodman, gave a workshop on storytelling. Storytelling is a very useful tool towards understanding how to effectively communicate the identity and mission of an organisation or project.One example of good storytelling he gave was the comic strip of the Atieno family on the IRC website.
